I promised this centuries ago, but I'm an unbelievably immoral ass.

Does TS2 frequently crash for you? Especially on community lots? Especially if you linger?
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, there is a method for stopping most crashes.

TheJessaChannel, whoever they are, has noticeably improved my life with this fix. Now maybe they can improve yours, too!

Since my game, with all sixteen components and many gigabytes of custom content installed , takes more than half an hour to load to the neighbourhood selection screen, this was kind of a major discovery.

In my experience, community lot problems come from the game taking way too much memory all at once. If you check Task Manager you'll see that it's being an unusually huge hog whenever it comes crashing down.

Since learning of the workaround, I've only gotten crashes that are my own stupid fault. The easiest way to crash the game is to, with the "moveobjects on" cheat, delete a Sim using their own inventory. That'll do it 100% of the time. If you want to kick a Sim off the lot by deleting them, do it with the Build or Buy tools!

And now you know.
